This anime is based on a manga by Tsuda Masami serializing in LaLa Magazine, published by Hakusensha.
This is a story revolving around Arima Souichiro (his) and Miyazawa Yukino (her). To me, this is not just a story about love and friendship. It also investigate into issues such as, recognising/discovering yourself, and believing yourself as well as presenting various reasons why people are behaving in different way. It have appropriate amount of humour (comedy), romance, and what I think to be its theme: self-discovery and reassurance.

There are a large amount of still images during the series, they are good at building moods and symbolism most of the time, but can be annoying sometimes. A few different ways of presenting the animation was used in a few episodes too. They are very creative, but the last two episodes are a bit difficult to watch since I have to read subtitles for the spoken bits as well as the bits written on the screen….

Overall, it is a very good anime, and I really recommend it if you can get your hands on it. I love the ending theme too! Sung by the seiyuu (voice actors) of Arima Souichiro (Suzuki Senjin), and Miyazawa Yukino (Enomoto Atsuko), the music and the lyrics are appropriate for the anime.
